Real Madrid keeps scouting the market in search of the perfect midfielder. Although names like Enzo Fernández or Angelo Stiller have been strongly mentioned, there is a young talent who has burst onto the white agenda: Hugo Larsson.
The Swede, only 20 years old, is one of the great revelations of the Bundesliga. He plays for Eintracht Frankfurt and has caught Real Madrid's attention due to his physical prowess, tactical ability, and maturity despite his youth.
Larsson joined the German team in the summer of 2023 from Malmö. In his first season, he showed good signs, but it has been in his second season when he has truly exploded.
He has played 33 league matches, scoring three goals. Including the Europa League and Cup, he reaches 47 matches and six goals.
A closely followed promise
The white club has closely followed several Eintracht matches. The reports are positive.
They assure that Larsson has the potential to fit into Real Madrid's midfield. Additionally, his profile is very appealing in Valdebebas: he is young, with room for improvement, and has experience in Europe.
The transfer market will open on June 1, exceptionally due to the Club World Cup. In that short period, Madrid has already closed the signing of Dean Huijsen. Alexander-Arnold and Álvaro Carreras are also about to join, although the operation for the latter has become more complicated than expected.

But the chapter of additions is not considered closed. The midfield remains a priority. Although it is unlikely that there will be movements before June 10 —when the window will close again until July 1—, the club doesn't rule out an offensive for Larsson later on.
The Swedish midfielder debuted with the national team in January 2023. Although he has not been in the latest drafts, it has been due to muscle discomfort.
His current market value is 40 million euros, according to Transfermarkt. Eintracht paid just 10 for him a year ago.
With Xabi Alonso's arrival on the white bench, the Bundesliga gains weight in Real Madrid's transfer strategy. And Hugo Larsson could be the next to follow that path.
