Neither Lamine Yamal nor Achraf: Kylian Mbappé knows exactly who deserves the Ballon d'Or

Mbappé is certain about the Ballon d'Or winner and is more determined than ever to win it

The Ballon d'Or remains one of the major debates in the world of soccer today, where anyone can win it at the highest level. Obviously, there are certain footballers who are the candidates to take this award to their personal trophy cabinets. Kylian Mbappé has spoken about this: "Ballon d'Or? Dembélé deserves it. If it were up to me, I'd hand it to him myself. I hope Hakimi is also among the best."

These were the words of the French footballer, who is quite clear that his national teammate should be the winner of this award. This is not an unreasonable bet, considering that he won everything with Paris Saint-Germain except for the Club World Cup. In addition, he also adds that his former teammate and friend Hakimi also deserves to be among the greatest.

Mbappé has it clear

The Real Madrid footballer, despite having become this year's Golden Boot after a disastrous start to the season, doesn't seem to really be competing for this award. He has left that directly to his former PSG teammates, who had an unbelievable season. Dembélé was a key piece in winning the UEFA Champions League, as were other players who should also be among the nominees.

Hakimi is also a strong candidate to win this award, as he has been an essential footballer and even managed to score in the Champions League final. This shows that he not only has significant affection for his former teammates, but not for the club he left to fulfill his dream.

However, this has of course sparked a debate among Barcelona fans, who have seen how he has omitted their star Lamine Yamal or even Raphinha. The Real Madrid footballer has no intention of considering those who don't deserve to win the Ballon d'Or, no matter how outstanding their season was. That's why he completely ignores the names from Barcelona, who aren't enough to win the award.

Someday it's for him to win

He knows perfectly well that at the club he's at now, he has more chances to win the Ballon d'Or, but they will have to improve their play style and results to achieve it. For now, he enjoys seeing his PSG teammates going through a good moment and hopes one of them can take it home.
