The Full-Back Who Could Join Real Madrid Following the Request Made by Xabi Alonso

At just 22 years old, Álvaro Carreras is having an excellent season with Benfica. Despite it being just his first season with the club, Carreras has established himself as an essential player for all matches. Playing 4,025 minutes throughout the season, Carreras has shown potential to be a great left-back.
While Manchester United is interested in exercising the buyback option they have on Carreras, Xabi seeks to get ahead of the English. With a contract until 2029 and a clause of 50 million euros, the operation for Carreras could be undertaken by Real Madrid.
The arrival of Carreras would not only strengthen the left-back position but also be the first major signing under Xabi Alonso's leadership. Additionally, if this transfer is successfully completed, Real Madrid would give Xabi one more reason to confirm his return.
