Neither MLS nor Arabia: tempting offer for Modric to keep playing in Europe at a high level

Real Madrid made official a few days ago one of the most painful departures for this summer. Modric was not going to renew his contract and therefore would have to look for a new destination for next season. A merengue and soccer legend in general will leave after the Club World Cup.

However, Luka has the goal of keeping playing, at least one more season, until the 2016 World Cup. That's why he is exploring the landscape to find a lucrative offer. To everyone's surprise, this could come from Europe to keep competing at the highest level.

According to information coming from Italy, Milan would be very interested in acquiring his services. It's true that financially they won't offer him the best possible contract. However, it would mean he could stay in Europe, in a league as competitive as Serie A.

Although the poor season of the rossonero side will mean they won't play in any European competition, it's an opportunity Modric will have to consider since it gives him many options. Above all, because he wants to keep in shape and maintain a competitive rhythm to help Croatia in the World Cup.

Modric has several offers on the table for next season

Milan is not the only European club that has shown interest in signing Luka Modric as a free agent. Glasgow Rangers could be his destination if Davide Ancelotti becomes coach of the Scottish side. In addition, Sevilla and Getafe had also topped the lists.

The Spanish and Italian leagues are competitive, while in Scotland he is guaranteed plenty of minutes. However, financially, the most tempting offers will come from more exotic destinations. Saudi Arabia and MLS could be alternatives with a much more lucrative contract.

Inter Miami had set the goal of bringing Messi and Modric together on the same team. In addition, Saudi Arabia has already tempted him on other occasions with dizzying salaries. Luka will have to make a decision, now with Milan as a destination also on the table.
