Neither Rodri nor Enzo Fernández: Xabi has requested another midfielder for €65M

Rodri Hernández's name has been mentioned quite strongly, especially in recent days. In addition, another name that's also been discussed is Enzo Fernández, but it seems that the Basque coach's intentions are headed elsewhere.

This is when Nicolò Barella comes into the picture, who plays for Inter Milan and was particularly liked by Carlo Ancelotti.

The new coaching staff of the Merengue side would have once again set their sights on this footballer who would be worth about €65 million. However, barring any surprises, Florentino Pérez isn't willing to make such an outlay. Even more so if there isn't a departure from the midfield, although Ceballos is increasingly likely to leave.

Barella is an important figure in the Nerazzurri squad and represents a key piece for its team. Nevertheless, he's never really been close to wearing the Merengue jersey.

What makes this move difficult is what they're asking for him from Italy. The sporting management doesn't see clearly that he's the type of player for whom to make a major financial effort. He has a contract in force until 2029 and in this regard, Inter holds all the cards.
