Íñigo's Rant Against Vinícius After the Sanction: You Must Not Stay Silent...

Barça's central defender launches an attack against the Brazilian, showing the double standard

Barcelona has gone on the offensive  after securing victory against Athletic in the Supercopa semifinals. Being one step away from finally lifting a title has given the club a lot of morale. To the point that they allow themselves the top-level of going after their rivals.

This time it's about the 2-game ban on Vinícius  after the red card he received at Mestalla last Friday. Íñigo Martínez, Barça's central defender, was the one who pointed out what had happened. He delivered a very strong criticism against the Brazilian.

Strategy typical of Barça, when asked about Dani Olmo, he diverted attention. He started by saying "whether it's fair or unfair, it's not my business," but that only applies to some cases. He did allow himself the liberty to analyze Vinícius's ban and label it as unfair.

"A few years ago I was banned for 4 games for a much lesser mistake than Vinícius's. We can't stay silent in the face of these injustices" the Barcelona central defender stated. It seems that for some things he doesn't have to judge, but for others, he can't wait.

The double standard with Barcelona that seeks all legal loopholes

It's unbelievable that someone from Barcelona dares to demand justice for a ban after what happened. The fact that VAR images are manipulated  should not be mentioned. Nor should the prior hit or the insults and provocations suffered by the Brazilian.

The worst part is that it happens right on the day they grant the precautionary measure to the Culers to register Dani and Pau. The rules, approved by all clubs, are different depending on the jersey. The blaugranas can have special ones to be able to count on players.

Although it's no longer surprising since we're talking about a team that went to ordinary justice in December 2022. They wanted to have Lewandowski at all costs and set a dangerous precedent. The same ones who paid the vice president of referees for years.
