It's Not Official but They Take It for Granted, First Transfer isn't Alexander-Arnold

After a rather busy winter market, all of Real Madrid's attention is focused on summer. With priorities like Alexander-Arnold, the club is preparing to welcome new players. However, contrary to what was thought, the Englishman won't be the first player to join the team during summer.

The star who has outexcelled the Englishman is none other than the young and talented Miguel Gutiérrez. The Girona player has managed to convince Real Madrid to return to the team after several seasons. Although the priority for the left wing was Davies, his imminent renewal with Bayern has closed the doors of Valdebebas.

In light of this, the Spaniard has emerged as the best option for Real Madrid. The doubts surrounding Mendy and Fran García only further reinforce Miguel's arrival. While the winger had been on the radar of several teams, in the end, it's the Meringue team that is closest to securing his transfer.

The return of the academy player

Playing 2,140 minutes this season, Miguel has continued to progress impressively. The 23-year-old winger has managed to establish himself in a Girona with which he made history last season. However, despite his contract, the player was quite clear about his decision to leave the Catalan team next summer.

This presented an opportunity that Real Madrid, looking to strengthen its squad, didn't want to miss.  Having been a youth player for the merengue team, the player knows the club's structure perfectly, eliminating adaptation problems.

Additionally, by owning 50% of his rights, the club has ensured it will pay a lower amount than requested by Girona. With a clause of 35 million euros, Real Madrid would only have to pay 8 to secure Miguel's return.

The first of many

With Miguel's signing practically assured, the Spaniard will be the first of many stars to join Real Madrid. Planning a revolution in the squad, Miguel would arrive to be part of a new era in the merengue team.
