Odegaard Sends a Huge Hint to Real Madrid and Puts Florentino on Alert
The Norwegian footballer targets Real Madrid and sends a warning to everyone
Real Madrid took a step toward the Champions League quarter-finals by defeating Atlético. The 2-1 at Bernabéu gives them a slight advantage, but nothing is decided yet. The return match at Metropolitano will determine who advances to the next round.
The clash between PSV and Arsenal seems more decided with the Gunners' victory. Arteta's team secured a convincing 7-1 win during their visit to the Netherlands. With the return leg at their stadium, it seems unlikely that they will let the qualification slip away.

The Londoners will be the opponent of Real Madrid or Atlético, and it seems that the Whites are a motivation. At least for Martin Odegaard, who led his team in the thrashing of PSV. After the match, in which he was named MVP, he spoke about returning to what was once his home.
"It would be special to return there," he assured, in a nod to Real Madrid to advance to the quarter-finals. But he also sends a warning to Florentino: "Whoever we face, we'll be ready." The president knows he is eager to face the Whites and will be a tough opponent if they meet.
A Controversial Departure That Odegaard Still Seems to Remember
Odegaard joined Real Madrid's youth ranks as a future star to be polished. He showcased his quality, but it was difficult to find him a spot in the first team. Zidane tried, even changing the system, but the Norwegian didn't perform as expected.

Moreover, he didn't seem willing to compete for a spot in a midfield full of stars. With Casemiro, Kroos, and Modric in their prime, Martin gave up and eventually left. It was at Arsenal where he demonstrated that better version that wasn't seen at Bernabéu.
On several occasions, there have been references from London to that controversial departure from Real Madrid. And surely Odegaard will want to impress if he faces the Whites in the quarter-finals. But first, they have to secure their passage by surviving the Metropolitano.
