The center-back, despite being in great shape, won't be able to play this match because he has to serve a suspension. This suspension is due to his sending off during last season's Copa del Rey final against Barcelona. Although his sending off and subsequent suspension was excessive for the player's actions, only one match remains before his return. Real Madrid trust they will start the season on the right foot and then strengthen its defense with Rüdiger's return.
