Order from Valdebebas: Xabi will replace Bellingham on August 14, Güler involved

Xabi Alonso keeps thinking about the best way to replace Jude Bellingham

Franco Mastantuono is about to join Real Madrid. The Argentine footballer will come of age next August 14 and will already be able to say that he is a player for the white team.

According to "Defensa Central", the winger is expected to travel to Spain next weekend, waiting until he turns 18 years old. It will be then when he can sign his contract with the club, which paid €60 million gross, and he could become a key piece in Xabi Alonso's plans.

Franco Mastantuono, important after Jude Bellingham's absence

With Jude Bellingham's injury and Rodrygo's possible departure, Franco Mastantuono is being considered as a starter, fitting in on the right side. The Argentine would be the third attacking player alongside Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius.

"I spoke with Xabi. He treated me very well. The conversation I had with him motivated me to make the decision", said Franco Mastantuono.

"He called me and always spoke to me sincerely. For me, it was very important. As I have said, leaving River isn't easy", the Argentine added.

"But he made it a little easier for me by calling me the way he did, and that's also why I made the decision", he commented.

He will have four training sessions before the first LaLiga matchday

Starting next August 14, Franco Mastantuono will have only four days to train before the match against CA Osasuna. He won't be a starter unless his performance in training completely changes Xabi Alonso's initial idea. However, the Basque coach could give him some minutes on his first day at Bernabéu.

The main idea is for him to accumulate minutes in the first few matchdays so he can be ready for the key days. Jude Bellingham won't return until mid-October, so the Argentine will have to make the most of his opportunity.

"I'm going to adapt to Real Madrid, to start playing and winning, which is what matters at this club", said Franco Mastantuono. The Argentine knows that he will have to work hard, but his dream is to succeed at the white club and he is facing the opportunity of his life.
