Pedrerol challenges Mbappé before the match against Osasuna: If he does it, it'll be devastating
They surprise with the direct message that has been sent to the Frenchman ahead of Tuesday's match
Real Madrid will face Osasuna this Tuesday in the start of the season in La Liga. It's a different campaign considering that Los Blancos arrive at a disadvantage compared to their rivals. They've had a very short preseason, which puts their fitness at risk (salid: in Spanish).
Now they have to set this aside and focus on achieving victory against Osasuna. Looking ahead to that match, Pedrerol has issued a surprising challenge directly to Mbappé. He did so to open Monday night's episode of El Chiringuito, with a message.

"Lamine Yamal has put on the king's crown, the king of soccer, the king of La Liga. Mbappé, it's your turn," said Pedrerol after Barça's match against Mallorca, which they won amid controversy. The Barça footballer ended up being the MVP of the match with a goal and an assist.
Despite the fact that for many minutes he was missing and only stood out when confronting a rival. It was after Lamine himself committed a clear foul, which he still protested. The Mallorca player called him out, and they ended up in a brief scuffle that didn't escalate.
Mbappé still has to prove his worth
With little that Lamine does, they're already calling him the best in the world and Messi's heir. It happened against Mallorca, where he played a good match but went unnoticed for many minutes. Even Flick was critical of his entire team during the second half.

Meanwhile, while that's happening to the Barça footballer, Mbappé seems to always have to keep proving his worth. It's the price of having signed for Real Madrid and having to counter the Barça media campaign. Not even being the current Pichichi and Golden Boot is enough.
The Frenchman has an important challenge, but it's not the comparison with Yamal, even though many seek it. He wants to win collective titles with Real Madrid and is focused on that. The rest will come, especially if he emerges victorious with the team in the main tournaments.
