Possible Real Madrid Lineup to Face Arsenal Tonight

The Reggiolo coach will have to think very carefully about his eleven players who will be in the line-up

The  countdown for the match between Arsenal and Real Madrid has already begun. Carlo Ancelotti's players will face the English team at the Emirates Stadium to determine who arrives with better feelings for the return match, a clash scheduled for the Santiago Bernabéu. Meanwhile, the white expedition has traveled with all its available footballers.

But not all players at the disposal of the Reggiolo coach can be part of the starting eleven. The calculations made during the last few days, especially after the  tough defeat suffered against Valencia, offer few tactical alternatives. Most predictions, like the one made by "El Chiringuito de Jugones," point to the following starting eleven: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Rüdiger, Alaba; Modric, Camavinga, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappé, Vinícius Jr.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti would start with his eleven best available footballers, reinforcing the right-back with the inclusion of Fede Valverde. The injury of Dani Ceballos, as well as the unavailability of Tchouaméni due to suspension, place Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modric in the engine room. The big surprise of that initial formation, without a doubt, would be the placement of David Alaba as left-back.

The Austrian "4", although he made a career for many years in that position, has not proven to be as reliable as he has been positioned in the center of the defense. With Ferland Mendy injured and a Fran García whose performance doesn't quite convince, the Italian strategist understands that the European defender is his best option for that spot.

Plans in Motion

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta made some rotations in the last Premier League match. The visit to Goodison Park ended with 1-1, an adverse result that distances him from the fight for the leadership of the English League... but it would enable most of his regular starters to be part of the match against Real Madrid: David Raya; Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Partey, Odegaard, Declan Rice; Saka, Mikel Merino, Martinelli.

The big news of that initial formation is the absence of a traditional '9'. Instead, Mikel Merino will act as a false nine, a position in which he has recently excelled with excellent results, to solve a plague of injuries at the tip of the attack. The Gunners, like Real Madrid, would go all outto secure victory in their stadium before traveling to the always formidable Madrid stronghold.
