Ramón de Mon clarifies the rumor about Franco Mastantuono's passport

The communicator 'settles' any doubts that may have existed about Mastantuono's passport

The signing of Franco Mastantuono by Real Madrid hasn't been well received by anti-Madridists. In fact, many of them exploded at the time when they found out that the Argentine wouldn't have a spot on the first team.

Some even think that the Merengue side adopted this measure due to issues with foreign players, although this really makes no sense. As Ramón Álvarez de Mon posted on his X account, the footballer has an Italian passport, so at no point is he considered a non-EU player.

All the commotion that's been stirred up is truly surprising, given that there are many examples similar to Mastantuono's. One of them, for instance, is Gavi, who played 72 matches with Barça's first team while being registered with the 'B' team.

Therefore, even though many want to make it seem like there's some irregularity with Mastantuono and Real Madrid, nothing could be further from the truth. The Merengue side chose to leave the possibility open for a signing in the final stretch of the transfer window, but in the end, no one arrived. It's also worth highlighting that the former River Plate player was the one who wanted to take the number '30', which, in fact, he already used at the Argentine club.

A lot of faith placed in him

The sporting management of the Merengue side believes that Franco has a potential that could truly be enormous over time. For this reason, Florentino gave the green light to pay about 60 million euros for him when everything pointed to him going to PSG. At Parc des Princes, they already had their arms wide open for him, but Real Madrid's arrival changed everything.

Xabi Alonso, as he himself has shown in a press conference, is delighted with the way he performs. He wants to get the most out of him and he trusts him a great deal. The Donostian only needed a couple of training sessions before putting him on the field against CA Osasuna.

Some people think that his level hasn't been the desired one, but it's important to remember that he has only played three matches. Moreover, he's going through an adaptation process and it takes time. At the White House, they choose to keep cautious and the expectations regarding this footballer haven't changed at all.
