Rayo Vallecano - Real Madrid Could be Sued Due to the Referee's Fault

The controversy arose in Vallecas after an action in which Martínez Munuera didn't signal a clear penalty on Vini Jr.

Real Madrid were held to a draw by Rayo Vallecano in a very difficult game for Carlo Ancelotti's men . The Merengues, who didn't start out too active, found themselves behind by a goal from the start which set off all the alarms.

Thibaut Courtois had already conceded two goals in the 36th minute of the first half. However, Fede Valverde immediately countered the home team's euphoria with a shot that silenced Vallecas. By the break, Jude Bellingham had already equalized with his sixth consecutive goal in LaLiga.

A second part of madness

Real Madrid started the second half in a completely different way to the first. The reigning LaLiga champions began to dominate the ball more effectively, dominating Rayo Vallecano.

Near the hour mark, Rodrygo Goes fired a great shot that, after deflecting off an opponent, ended up going in. The Brazilian certified a great comeback that could mean a before and after in Real Madrid 's league season.

However, Isi Palazón struck again at the weak Real Madrid defense. Rayo Vallecano equalized within a few minutes, a score that never changed despite the attempts of both teams .

The grave mistake of Martinez Munuera

After Rayo Vallecano 's goal, Real Madrid continued to try to make it four and win the match. Vini Jr. had a clear chance that was saved by Augusto Batalla.

However, the controversial action of the match came in the second half when the game was tied. In a play inside the area, Abdul Mumin blatantly and out of time hit Vini Jr's leg .

The Brazilian, who didn't believe that Martínez Munuera had not indicated the penalty, rightly protested the decision. However, the referee didn't go to the VAR at any time to review the action and was not draftedon to do so either.

The anger at Real Madrid is understandable . The first half had a lot to do with the final result, but the referees can't make such mistakes in one of the best competitions.
