Real Madrid about to get a big windfall: 17M more for a castoff

Girona will sell Miguel Gutiérrez for his release clause, €35 million, and Madrid owns 50% of his rights

Real Madrid is very close to receiving a new financial injection. Not from a direct transfer, but thanks to an old deal that could now yield unexpected results.

Everything indicates that Miguel Gutiérrez will be sold by Girona. The Catalan club is willing to accept the left-back's release clause, valued at €35 million.

Real Madrid keeps 50% of the player's economic rights. This means that, in the event of a sale, the white club would receive €17.5 million directly.

This is great news for Florentino Pérez, who keeps working to strengthen the squad... but without losing sight of the income that could come from other sources.

Juventus, on the prowl

The main party interested in signing Miguel is Juventus of Turin. The Italian side is looking for a reliable left-back for next season.

Their current squad doesn't offer guarantees. Players like Juan Cabal or Veiga have performed below the desired level. The club's idea is to sign an undisputed starter.

This is where Miguel Gutiérrez comes in. The former Real Madrid player has kept a consistent performance despite Girona's overall decline. His projection, youth, and experience in La Liga make him an attractive option for the Bianconeri club.

Journalist Mirko Di Natale has confirmed Juventus's interest. But Girona won't lower the €35 million set in the clause by even a euro.

Miguel, a profitable sale

Miguel Gutiérrez was already a profitable sale for Real Madrid at the time. But this deal could bring a second major income to the white coffers.

In Valdebebas, they know that this clause is close to being executed. They don't rule out the possibility that the deal will be closed in the coming weeks.

With this move, Madrid would bring in almost €18 million without lifting a finger. Without the need for the player to return to the club's discipline.

Once again, the policy of keeping part of the rights of certain academy players is paying off. Miguel Gutiérrez, now more than ever, is becoming a very valuable asset for the whites.
