The young star who threatens to replace Rodrygo Goes amid Real Madrid's interest
After several rumors about his departure, Rodrygo Goes managed to keep his place at Real Madrid. Having played a few minutes at the start of this season, his future has once again come under threat. This is because, according to Defensa Central, Kylian Mbappé has spoken with Michael Olise to encourage him to sign for Real Madrid.
Currently a Bayern Munich player, the French winger is one of the greatest talents in all of Europe. At just 23 years old, the Frenchman has established himself as one of the key figures in the Bavarian attack. However, given his importance, his departure in a future transfer window is complicated.
Even so, Real Madrid have also shown some interest in signing the right winger. This interest poses a threat to Rodrygo Goes, who could leave the club if Olise is signed. Although the Brazilian is now a substitute, the presence of another player in the attack would lead Real Madrid to seek departures.
Real Madrid's new interest
Trained in the youth academies of Arsenal, Chelsea, City, and Reading, Michael Olise made his professional debut in 2020. Thanks to his outstanding performances at Reading and Crystal Palace, Olise was signed by Bayern Munich last summer. This move allowed Olise to fully showcase his talent, as he had an excellent debut season.
Playing a total of 55 matches, the French winger scored 20 goals and provided 23 assists. These are truly impressive statistics for a player who still has a great future ahead of him. Since he is young and has experience at the elite level, Olise fits the profile Real Madrid seeks for its young players.
Unfortunately, his contract with Bayern runs until 2029 and his market value is €100 million according to Transfermarkt. Despite the conversations he has had with Mbappé, his departure is unlikely to happen. Even so, given the interest from both Mbappé and Real Madrid, Rodrygo's future is once again uncertain.
The answer next summer
At 24 years old, Rodrygo Goes remains an important player for Real Madrid. However, after his performance last season, the player has faced several criticisms. Given the interest in Olise, Rodrygo must prove his worth again if he wants to confirm his stay and prevent the Frenchman's arrival.
