Real Madrid - Mallorca, match summary at Bernabéu
Jacobo Ramón, with an unexpected goal, gives the three points to the white team 'in extremis'
Real Madrid secured a victory at the last gasp thanks to a goal by Jacobo Ramón that prevents Barça's title celebration. Despite numerous attempts, Leo Román managed to ruin almost all the local chances. Kylian Mbappé equalized Valjent's initial goal with what was his 40th goal of the season, and the center-back drove the entire Bernabéu crazy.
Plagued by absences, Real Madrid's starting eleven featured several new faces. Raúl Asencio partnered in the center of defense with Jacobo Ramón, and Endrick started alongside Kylian Mbappé in the attack. Additionally, Arda Güler had to start due to Brahim Díaz's last-minute absence, who was expected to be a starter.
Carlo Ancelotti could only count on ten first-team players. Raúl Asencio and Jacobo Ramón were the academy players present in the starting eleven, but eight more were waiting on the bench. In fact, the Italian coach couldn't make more than two substitutions due to regulations.

Mallorca struck a half-empty Bernabéu
The match could have gone in Real Madrid's favor within a few minutes, but Román's hand prevented Endrick's goal. RCD Mallorca did manage to take the lead thanks to a shot with Valjent's weaker foot. The center-back appeared in attacking positions and, with a low shot to the far post, managed to beat Courtois.
Just over ten minutes in, and the Bermellón team was already ahead in a Santiago Bernabéu with many empty seats. The team's situation, the schedule, the weather, and other factors led to the lowest attendance of the season.

As the minutes passed, Real Madrid tried to react through Mbappé and Bellingham. However, Leo Román began to show all Madridists his great skills between the posts. First, he stopped one from the Brit; then several from the French striker.
Trailing at halftime... with a name and surname: Leo Román
Real Madrid ended the first half deserving the draw, but they didn't manage to achieve it. A great Leo Román—usually a substitute behind Greif—saved all the attacks from the Madrid forwards.
The Bernabéu demanded more from their team on a complicated night. Barça was becoming the LaLiga champion without even having to play their corresponding match. Certainly, one of the worst possible ways to end the competition.
A well-positioned Mallorca against a hurried Madrid
The second half began with Vallejo warming up on the Bernabéu's sideline. Ancelotti, who doesn't count on the Aragonese, was forced to put the center-back in to make another substitution. Meanwhile, the players on the field continued trying to break down Leo Román's wall with long-range shots.
As the minutes passed, urgency began to take over the local players. Real Madrid tried to find Mbappé and Endrick through Fran García's crosses. However, the well-positioned Bermellón center-backs thwarted all goal opportunities.
Real Madrid's problems came when generating clear danger actions. Meanwhile, Mallorca didn't manage to create excessive danger on Courtois's goal. The Asencio/Jacobo duo didn't have much work on a night when they mostly had to run backward.

Carlo Ancelotti ended up executing the change of Raúl Asencio for Jesús Vallejo. The center-back, who hadn't played since September, had half an hour to say goodbye to the Bernabéu. Meanwhile, Real Madrid ended with a center-back pair formed by Jacobo Ramón and the Real Zaragoza academy player.
Jacobo Ramón and a goal he will always remember
The unbelievable match by Leo Román was halted by an exceptional Kylian Mbappé. The Frenchman, with a spectacular individual action in which he got past three, finished at the near post to equalize. There were 20 minutes left to achieve the winning goal, although everything could have gone wrong in a one-on-one that Courtois managed to save.
Carlo Ancelotti moved the bench again to bring in Gonzalo for Endrick. As the minutes passed, Real Madrid kept increasing the pace and pinning Mallorca in their area. Arda Güler could have made it 2-1 with a sensational shot from the edge, but Román's hand appeared again.
38 shots—12 on target—and 24 corner kicks in favor, but only one goal that was of no use. However, Jacobo Ramón had in his mind that Real Madrid couldn't drop points today. After a touch from Jesús Vallejo, the academy player headed toward the goal and managed to beat Leo Román in the last second.
Finally, Real Madrid managed to win a match in which they deserved to take all three points. The unprecedented center-back duo was the protagonist in a victory that postpones FC Barcelona's league title celebration.
