It seems that full trust is placed in a homegrown footballer like Gonzalo García at the white club. This has been clearly shown throughout the last Club World Cup, where Alonso fully trusted him. Now, the board reaffirms this by rejecting the possible arrival of Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus.
This player had been on the radar of the Merengue side for several seasons as a possible replacement for Benzema. Even in that season when the Frenchman left the Merengue institution, he was rumored to join the white side. In the end, they gave up on this possibility, trusting that the homegrown player will reach the desired level.
They trust Gonzalo
This player managed to convince Madridists that he had much more to offer than what could be seen at first glance. With this, Real Madrid's future seems almost secured in the center forward position if the player keeps progressing.

He played more than 2,800 min. (2,600 min.) in 44 matches, where he scored 17 goals and provided five assists, which are by no means negligible statistics.
Nevertheless, in the end, it hasn't been enough to convince the board that he is an extremely necessary signing for the club. Moreover, his market value has dropped considerably in recent years, going from €85 million to €35 million. Not even the fact that his contract, which ties him until 2026, has made Florentino Pérez change his mind.
They have a striker for a long time
At the club, they already consider that things in the forward line seem more solved than ever and competitiveness is at its peak. For this reason, adding another player of this profile would be counterproductive. With a series of reasons supporting this decision, the board is saying goodbye completely to signing this player.
