Real Madrid's Chosen Ones to Listen to VAR Audios Are 2 Heavyweights

Two Real Madrid envoys went to Las Rozas to listen to the controversial VAR audios.

Real Madrid continued forward with the conflict with the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the refereeing body. It all stems from the referees' performance in the matches against RCD Espanyol and CA Osasuna.

This Monday was a key day in that dispute. The Real Madrid delegation went to the RFEF facilities in Las Rozas to listen to the audios related to the visit to Cornellà.

There is tremendous discontent in the white club after the reckless tackle by Carlos Romero on Kylian Mbappé that did not result in a red card. Moreover, the footballer who did not see the red card was the same one who scored the only goal in a match that Real Madrid lost.

Real Madrid Arrived in Las Rozas to Listen to the Controversial Audios

Around 12:30 p.m., the representatives of Real Madrid arrived at the meeting with the president of the CTA, Medina Cantalejo. The delegation was headed by José Ángel Sánchez, Florentino Pérez's right-hand man. José Luis del Valle also attended.

Medina Cantalejo remained in the meeting with the club's representatives for about an hour and a half. Additionally, as a detail, according to '20 minutos', the president of the CTA crossed paths with Luis de la Fuente in the parking lot.

"Come on, Luis, good luck... go for it", said the president of the CTA, Medina Cantalejo, to the national coach.

Medina Cantalejo's Assessment After the Meeting

At the end of the meeting, José Ángel Sánchez and his committee left the facilities, while Medina Cantalejo offered his point of view to the media.

"The meeting was held this morning in a very cordial manner, with absolute respect between the parties. We have been talking, and I think it is always good, that the conclusion we have reached is that it is never too much to sit down", he explained.

"Everyone can express their point of view, and I think it has been positive, but it is an assessment from my side, which is the one I can publicly voice", he commented.

Meanwhile, from Real Madrid there have been no statements at any time, so it is not known if the club is satisfied with the explanations. However, Melchor Ruiz, a journalist from Cadena COPE, did state that the Madrid club still doesn't understand the red card.

"Real Madrid leaves the meeting at the RFEF without understanding how Carlos Romero was not sent off after his tackle on Mbappé", he explained. "Real Madrid has reiterated that transparency is needed in the refereeing system, to which the CTA is open to changes", he concluded.
