Real Madrid's response to the price requested for Enzo Fernández: 'We will sign...'
Chelsea has set the Argentine's price at 200 million euros, a figure that the white team is not willing to pay
Real Madrid has replied forcefully to the price Chelsea demands for Enzo Fernández. The English club has set a figure of 200 million euros to let the Argentine midfielder leave this summer.
From London, they consider that Enzo is a key piece and they don't want to facilitate his departure. Chelsea's objective is clear: to stop any attempt from Madrid or another major European club.
An unaffordable figure for Real Madrid
In Valdebebas, they haven't taken long to react. Internal sources from the club assure that they aren't willing to pay that amount. "We will sign another player," they have stated from the sports management.
Florentino Pérez and his team consider the price to be completely exorbitant. Under no circumstances would they pay 200 million for a midfielder.

Moreover, Real Madrid believes there are more economical alternatives with greater potential. They aren't closed to strengthening the midfield, but they will do so with financial intelligence.
Enzo Fernández was signed by Chelsea in January 2023 for about 121 million euros. Since then, the club has wanted to protect his value.
His contract is long, and his clause doesn't oblige the English club to negotiate. Therefore, they have raised his price as a deterrent strategy.
Real Madrid, however, won't enter any bidding war. They have already made significant signings like those of Bellingham or Tchouaméni.
Madrid will seek other options
Real Madrid's scouting area already has other names on the table. The club works with a clear roadmap and with young profiles.
Enzo Fernández is appealing, but not at any price. With 200 million, Madrid could sign two or even three high-level footballers.
The club's policy remains the same: talent, youth, and spending control.

As of today, Enzo Fernández is completely ruled out for Real Madrid.
The Argentine doesn't fit into the plans while Chelsea keeps that price. From Chamartín, they won't make a move.
If Chelsea lowers their demands in the future, the situation could change. But, for now, Madrid has already closed that door.
