Mbappé thus becomes Modric's successor and the new face of the team's most iconic number. Previously, figures like Figo, Özil, Robinho, or Sneijder wore it. Further back, legends like Seedorf, Laudrup, or Prosinecki.

Arda Güler, whom many saw as a candidate for the number 10, will keep his current number. The club understands that his moment will come, but that this was Kylian's turn.
