La SER reveals LaLiga's response to the request to postpone the first matchday
The entity presided over by Javier Tebas reacts to the request submitted by Real Madrid
The Club World Cup has brought good and bad news for Real Madrid, although most of them are positive. Among them is the change the first team has undergone, a metamorphosis that is entirely due to Xabi Alonso. The Tolosa coach has taken over the team's technical direction and is achieving great results.
He has, in fact, exceeded almost all expectations, creating a good impression with the team's play and placing the Merengue squad in the Club World Cup semifinals, a match against PSG. That match will be its biggest challenge to date. However, participation in the tournament in the United States has intensified the clashes on an open front.

The constant disagreements between Real Madrid and LaLiga, due to the multiple lawsuits involving both entities, receive a new update in light of the 25/26 season calendar. The top national competition scheduled the first match of the league campaign for next August 19, a date that violates the agreements made with AFE.
Both Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, before leaving for the United States, set a time limit before facing the 25/26 soccer season. The footballers were supposed to have 30 days of vacation, with at least 21 of them taken consecutively, and a preseason of up to three weeks. Those deadlines aren't being met even in Real Madrid's current situation.
Request denied
That's why the board of directors led by Florentino Pérez, with the support of Osasuna and RFEF, requested the date change for that match. All parties involved agreed to schedule the match for Wednesday, October 29... except for the organization chaired by Javier Tebas, which denies that date change to Real Madrid.
The information published by Cadena SER reveals LaLiga's verdict on this matter, as well as the reasons justifying it: "they don't see any reason to postpone the match". The Spanish soccer employers' association emphasizes the lack of compelling reasons to change the original date of the Real Madrid-Osasuna match.

With this decision, the conflict that Real Madrid and LaLiga have kept for several years deepens. Javier Tebas has been a protagonist in recent weeks, making constant statements about the Club World Cup... to the point of promising that "I'll do everything possible to make sure it isn't played again".
The president of LaLiga lashes out against the Club World Cup, arguing that it causes serious wear and tear for the footballers who take part in that competition. Meanwhile, LaLiga refuses to postpone a match so that Real Madrid, a club registered in that tournament, can fully recover and compete in the next season without risks.
