Rodrygo responds amid City rumors, official statement before Tirol

The Brazilian breaks his silence with a message about his future

The last few hours have once again reignited the saga about Rodrygo's future, which is more uncertain than ever. It seemed that with the return to training at Valdebebas, everything had calmed down. However, halfway through the preseason, the news broke about Manchester City's interest.

Guardiola's side were ready to go after him to strengthen their attack with his signing. We know they don't have financial problems to satisfy both the Brazilian and Real Madrid. However, it was Rodrygo himself who surprised everyone by responding amid all the rumors.

Taking advantage of the friendly match this very Tuesday between Real Madrid and WSG Tirol, Rodrygo posted an image on his social media announcing the match with all the details. He accompanied it with a brief but forceful message: "Hala Madrid" and a white heart.

It seems clear that the only thing on the Brazilian's mind is to continue with the Merengue squad. It's true that, just like last summer, his name hasn't stopped generating rumors. However, he hasn't taken any step that would distance him from Bernabéu, since he wants to stay.

Everything can change in a few days

Right now, everything indicates that Rodrygo isn't thinking about leaving but is instead committed to staying at Madrid. He's thinking about fighting for a spot in Xabi Alonso's starting eleven, even though it's difficult. In fact, this is what he has told those close to him, as we've been informed at Defensa Central.

However, the first two league matches could make Rodrygo's situation change. Against Osasuna and against Oviedo, the Brazilian will see what his role in the team is. If he gets significant minutes or even starts in either of the two matches, he could stay.

However, if his participation isn't what he expects, it could lead him to reactivate his options. He could deliver a major surprise at the end of the transfer window by heading to the Premier League, especially to Manchester City, who seem determined to keep pursuing his signing.
