Rodrygo's signing falls through: his rival doesn't want to move, nor will he change teams

The Brazilian was set to be PSG's option if Bradley Barcola left for Liverpool

In recent hours, social media have been filled with rumors about a possible departure of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. According to several media outlets from England, the Frenchman was one of Liverpool's targets, which still hasn't signed Alexander Isak. Meanwhile, in Madrid, preparations were underway for a possible offer from the capital of France for Rodrygo Goes.

However, outlets such as "ESPN" have confirmed that Bradley Barcola isn't considering leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Even though the Parisian club has received two formal offers from Liverpool, the message from Parc des Princes has been negative. The player isn't for sale and will stay at his current club.

Liverpool intended to sign Bradley Barcola

Liverpool was looking to strengthen its attacking line for next season. The imminent departure of Darwin Núñez to Arabia and the exit of Luis Díaz to Bayern have left Slot with fewer offensive options.

That's why Liverpool had considered Bradley Barcola to reinforce its attack. However, even though the footballer lost his spot in the starting eleven, Paris Saint-Germain has made it clear that it won't sell its winger.

Paris Saint-Germain rejected a first offer at the beginning of the summer and a second attempt this very week. Even Bayern Munich received the same negative response when it inquired about the player in the past. Bradley Barcola is non-transferable in the current market.

"I have no doubt that he'll stay with us. He's a player we trust for the long term and we hope he'll stay here for many years,"Luis Enrique recently stated when asked about the player.

Rodrygo Goes began to be linked with Paris Saint-Germain

Meanwhile, in Spain the media echoed Liverpool's interest in the Paris Saint-Germain player.

With Rodrygo Goes on the verge of leaving if a lucrative offer arrives, rumors started to spread. In fact, many pointed out that the Brazilian could have been the natural replacement for Bradley Barcola at Paris Saint-Germain.

However, we'll never know how that transfer would have turned out, since Bradley Barcola won't leave Paris Saint-Germain.
