Rubén Uría Doesn't Accept Defeat and Insists on Brahim's Goal: What Bothers Me the Most...

Opinions about the match between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid haven't taken long to surface. Despite the clear and well-deserved victory of the merengue team, there are certain fans who don't accept this result. One of the most notable is Rubén Uría, who has made a statement claiming Brahim Díaz's goal.

"What surprises me the most was that VAR didn't call on Brahim's goal," were his words about the referee's actions. Arguing that there was an offside position by Vinícius, Rubén expressed surprise. Expecting VAR to penalize Real Madrid and annul the goal, the reality is that the opposite happened.

Moreover, if VAR ended up calling the referee, the goal would still be legal because no infraction of any kind was committed. "I don't reproach the field referee for anything," added Rubén to try to mask his evident annoyance with the refereeing.

Rubén's Complaints

Once again, Real Madrid showed itself to be vastly superior to an Atlético that was unable to respond to Brahim's goal. Despite having control of the match, the rojiblanco team couldn't find a way to at least secure a draw. This inferiority against the merengue club led some rojiblanco fans to seek excuses.

Rubén Uría's words clearly reflect the opinion of the colchonera fans, looking for any way to undermine the merengue victory. Instead of accepting that Atlético lost fairly, Rubén has resorted to questioning VAR.

A ridiculous attitude given the excellent refereeing work done throughout the match at Santiago Bernabéu.  This only reflects the frustration on the part of the colchoneros of, once again, being outperformed by Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Despite attempts to tarnish Brahim's goal, the reality is that the entire play was extremely clean. Showcasing his skills to the fullest, the player achieved the goal of victory, of advantage, and of the fury of the entire colchonera fanbase.
