Salah's request for Arnold's last match at Anfield: 'Don't look at me'
The unbelievable comment Trent Alexander-Arnold has received from Mohamed Salah ahead of his imminent farewell
With the season coming to an end, it's time for several clubs to start their transfer market. Although Liverpool had a more than decent campaign, the club will lose a great player with the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold. The right-back, after 9 seasons with the team, will leave to head to Real Madrid.
A signing that, for now, hasn't been officially confirmed but is practically done. This has led to Arnold receiving a notable request from Mohamed Salah for his last match at Anfield. "I told Trent not to look me in the eyes when he says goodbye, because I love him very much," were the words of the Egyptian.

"He deserves the best possible farewell from the club...He has probably been the best local player in the club's history and now he wants a new challenge." With these last words, Salah called for Liverpool fans to give Arnold a proper send-off.
Salah's request
Debuting in 2016 with Liverpool, Trent Alexander-Arnold began to forge the great legacy he has today. Having been essential to the club's resurgence to the European elite, Arnold established himself as a true icon for the fans. However, with the news of his departure, several fans showed their discontent.
Even going so far as to send hate messages, this prompted Salah to defend his soon-to-be former teammate. His words show not only the deep respect Salah has for Arnold but also his understanding of the Englishman's status.

Aware of the importance Arnold has had, his request to the player highlights Salah's more sentimental side. Known for being a decisive and somewhat cold player in front of the goal, his request makes it clear that, should Arnold see him, Salah might shed a tear.
Arnold's farewell
Showing the excellent relationship he has with Arnold, Salah also understands his reasons for signing with Real Madrid. Although both Salah and Liverpool would like to keep Arnold, the only thing left to do is to provide a farewell worthy of him.
