Real Madrid's Striking Proposal to Improve the Refereeing System: 'Based...'

The information published in Cadena SER warns about the actions of Real Madrid

One of the controversies that Real Madrid has had to deal with for some time now is linked to the refereeing body. Its stormy relationship with the governing entities of Spanish soccer, intertwined with long-standing disputes and endless litigation, has finally worsened with the outbreak of the "Negreira case".

The emergence of this scandal linking FC Barcelona with the former vice president of the CTA has initiated a sort of "war" at Real Madrid. The board of directors led by Florentino Pérez has advocated more than once for completely overhauling the refereeing system, a proposal that has only raised more opposition... despite the fact that complaints about the performance of Spanish referees have almost become the norm in every LaLiga matchday.

After the complicated episode experienced with the letter published by the merengue entity and addressed to RFEF and CSD, the merengue squad would have drawn up a striking plan. This roadmap was revealed during the latest episode of "El Larguero", the sports show of the late night on Cadena SER. Its host, Manu Carreño, reveals that the white club, "next week, is going to present a plan to improve the refereeing system".

It seems clear that Real Madrid "is going to present it, we don't know if anyone will buy it", comments Manu Carreño. This plan would come after the thorough study of "the refereeing systems of the most important leagues in Europe". Thus, "Madrid is going to present a new system that we'll see if anyone likes or dislikes".

Maximum Tension

The journalist from Cadena SER predicts that "Tebas will dislike it very much", given the poor relationship between the president of LaLiga and Real Madrid itself. Be that as it may, Manu Carreño anticipates that Real Madrid's plan is "based on transparency and on making known what is said in the VOR room". These conversations would be revealed "whether the play is whistled or not" to avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary suspicions.

Furthermore, the merengue proposal for this revamped refereeing system would have as one of its key points "that errors are acknowledged when they are made, which referees will also make". This decision by Real Madrid has only fueled the refereeing controversy around the white club, reviving unfounded accusations.

Part of the discourse launched against the entity presided over by Florentino Pérez mistakenly points out that Real Madrid aspires to control the refereeing system so that it always decides in its favor. Nothing could be further from the truth: from the offices of Valdebebas, especially in the context of the "Negreira case," they aspire to "reset the counter completely".

That idea doesn't seem to please some LaLiga clubs, which have urged the league to take measures to prevent the supposed "pressures" that the white club would exert. The complaint from LaLiga is already in the hands of the RFEF Disciplinary Committee, which is carefully studying the case and will announce the roadmap to follow next week.
