3 Madrid Players with Their Bags Packed: They Already Have Their Free Transfer
The ease with which three Real Madrid players can leave the team as soon as possible
With the arrival of the winter market, one of the teams that's garnered the most attention is Real Madrid. Although the club doesn't plan to make any transfers, they might see some departures from the team. At least three players have certain facilities to start negotiating and finalize their exit from the team.
The first of them is Luka Modric, who after more than a decade with the team might start negotiating his arrival to another club. A similar situation is faced by Lucas Vázquez, with the Galician depending on the transfers the team makes. Both have reached an advanced age that has pushed the team to seek a renewal as soon as possible.
The last player who might leave is Jesús Vallejo, with the central defender being out of Real Madrid's future plans. These three players, given their current situation with Real Madrid, have the freedom to make their next destination as soon as possible.
Real Madrid's departures
Joining the team in 2012, Modric is a legend of Real Madrid. Despite being 39 years old, the Croatian has a level that makes his age forgettable. Although he hasn't played as many minutes as in past seasons, the player has maintained some relevance in the club.
In the case of Lucas, the 33-year-old full-back might finalize his departure following the transfer of Alexander-Arnold. Despite all the achievements he's accomplished with Real Madrid, a contract renewal is a very distant possibility.
Finally, Vallejo simply doesn't have the confidence of Ancelotti or Real Madrid to stay in the club. Nearing 28 years old, the center-back is the most certain departure from the club, possibly even leaving for another club this very market.
A new Meringue era
These departures will mark the end of one of the best eras in Real Madrid's history, with the club bidding farewell to several legends. However, following the transfers made, the club already has a new generation that has begun to achieve success as merengues.
