Revealed: the first details about Lucas's farewell from Real Madrid

The first details about Lucas Vázquez's farewell from Real Madrid have been revealed

Real Madrid suffered the retirement of Toni Kroos last summer, one of its greatest legends. This was a hard blow for the club, followed by the farewell of Luka Modrić and Lucas Vázquez at the end of the current season. While Modrić received a tribute at Bernabéu, Real Madrid has a farewell ceremony prepared for Lucas.

Recognizing how important Lucas has been as a player, Real Madrid seeks to bid him farewell in the best possible way. The manner and location remain unknown, although the date has been revealed. Lucas Vázquez's farewell from Real Madrid will take place after the club finishes its participation in the Club World Cup.

The grand final of the tournament is next July 13, a date when Real Madrid aims to be present to compete for the title. First having to overcome Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals, there is still time for Lucas's farewell.

The farewell of a legend

From the generation that led Real Madrid to win three consecutive Champions League titles, Lucas is one of the few remaining at the club. Arriving at the youth academy in 2007 and spending a loan spell at Espanyol in 2014, Lucas joined the first team in 2015. This was an opportunity that, a decade later, it can be said Lucas did not waste.

Winning several titles, including a total of 5 Champions League trophies, Lucas is one of the great legends of Real Madrid. Although his desire at the beginning of the season was to remain with the team for one more year, this clearly will not be possible.

With Carvajal's return and the signing of Trent, Lucas has been left without a place in Real Madrid's squad. Although, for now, the tribute that Real Madrid plans to hold remains unknown, it is expected to be up to the occasion.

An uncertain future

Although Lucas Vázquez's future remains unknown, this is of little concern to the right back. Winning the Club World Cup would be the best way to say goodbye to the club where he has won everything on more than one occasion.
