The Theory About Vini and Mbappé Falls Under Its Own Weight: They Are Quite Compatible
Many believe that the pair formed by Vinícius and Mbappé has no future at Real Madrid
Vinícius hasn't managed to score in the matches where Kylian Mbappé wasn't present. In the five games where the Frenchman didn't play with Real Madrid, the Brazilian didn't manage to score. However, the Carioca player also didn't suffer defeats in those matches.
The most recent was last Sunday's match against Athletic Club at Santiago Bernabéu. In that match, Vinícius was close to breaking his goalless streak. However, the controversial offside called on Endrick by Munuera Montero and the VAR prevented it.

This curse could change against Getafe CF, as Kylian Mbappé won't be available for the visit to Coliseum. "For tomorrow's match, they aren't ready (Mbappé and Mendy), but they'll train these days and both will be available for Saturday", commented Carlo Ancelotti to the press.
Vinícius Hasn't, But Mbappé Has Managed to Do It
Kylian Mbappé has shown his ability to score goals even without Vinícius this year. In the eight matches where the Brazilian forward wasn't present, the Frenchman scored a total of eight goals. In fact, he scored a brace and his first hat-trick with Real Madrid, in addition to an assist.
However, he also suffered two defeats, in Liverpool and at San Mamés during the first half of the season. Although Kylian Mbappé tried to fill the void left by his teammate, he wasn't successful, missing a penalty in both matches.

Despite everything that's said, the recent matches have been challenging for the whole team, but Vinícius and Mbappé have shown generosity. Two stars who know they need to connect to be unstoppable in attack.
So far this season, Vinícius has assisted Kylian in three of the 33 occasions he has scored. Additionally, although they used to alternate, the Brazilian also gave up two penalties he had provoked to the Frenchman. Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé has assisted Vinícius twice, the Carioca player of Real Madrid, so far this season.
