These are the available squad numbers in Real Madrid's first team for signings
The first team in white is gradually starting to take shape
Xabi Alonso's coaching staff is gradually modifying all the internal dynamics of Santiago Bernabéu locker room, assigning different roles to each player. That wouldn't be the only thing that has changed since the arrival of the manager from Tolosa, given the moves made by the board of directors to accompany that coaching change.
The additions and departures experienced by the first team are also shaping Real Madrid's future for the 25/26 season. One of the most notable matters, where this change is most easily detected, is the squad numbers. After all, newly arrived players have to choose which number they'll wear during their time at the white club.

One of the footballers who still has that task pending is Franco Mastantuono. The talented attacking midfielder from River Plate, signed during the Club World Cup, won't join the squad until August. While it's true that he'll travel to Madrid very soon, the top executives led by Florentino Pérez have decreed that he can't train with his teammates until he turns 18.
Only in this way can the law that governs all transfers for underage players be properly fulfilled. In that sense, only two first-team numbers remain available: "9" and "25". Normally, the latter is assigned to the third goalkeeper, but it wouldn't be the first time an outfield player decides to take this number.
We'll see what happens
Questions about which footballers could take these two numbers that are still unassigned in Santiago Bernabéu locker room continue. Especially regarding the number "9", now that Kylian Mbappé is confirmed as Luka Modric's successor in a number loaded with history, legend, and great responsibility.
The number traditionally associated with the center forward is being contested, precisely, by two players who occupy that position on the field: Endrick and Gonzalo García. Although the verdeamarelo striker is already included in that list thanks to his "16", he could change his number to free up that spot... thus allowing Gonzalo García to succeed him and finally enabling the young Madrid academy player to become part of the first team.

There's also the possibility that the player who surprised at the Club World Cup manages to take the "9" directly, a reward that's more than symbolic for his performance. Either way. In that case, Franco Mastantuono would be forced to take the number "25" as his first number at Real Madrid due to lack of space in Santiago Bernabéu locker room.
The Argentine attacking midfielder would succeed Eduardo Camavinga in the "25" jersey in the first team: the French stopper already wore that number during his first campaign as a Madridist, 21/22. The addition of a third goalkeeper, usually from Real Madrid Castilla, could include the "26" jersey, the first one assigned to academy players.
