This is how the Club World Cup standings look: Real Madrid finishes third

Real Madrid has finished third due to its performance in the group stage, thanks to the two victories and the draw

The 2025 Club World Cup already has a champion. Chelsea have been crowned winners after defeating PSG 3-0 in the grand final. It's a resounding title for the London side, who finish the tournament with a perfect record of victories.

Paris Saint-Germain take second place after a strong run, although they couldn't compete in the final.

Real Madrid take third place, completing the podium. Xabi Alonso's team manage to finish their participation with a positive image, although with a clearly bittersweet feeling.

A semifinal that marked the outcome

Real Madrid fell in the semifinals after a match that was affected from the start. Two early mistakes, one by Raúl Asencio and another by Rüdiger, left the team 2-0 down in just fifteen minutes.

From there, everything was an uphill battle. The white team tried, but they couldn't turn the match around. The course of the game wasn't the desired one, leaving a sense of a missed opportunity.

Despite everything, the team showed character and a good overall image in the tournament. That, considering Xabi Alonso barely had time to work with the group, is a highly valued fact within the club.

Real Madrid surpasses Fluminense

In the battle for third place, Real Madrid finish above Fluminense thanks to the points earned in the group stage.

The white team achieved two victories and one draw, reaching 13 points. Fluminense, with one victory and two draws, stayed at 11 points.

That small difference gives Madrid the bronze in the Club World Cup, ahead of the Copa Libertadores champion.
