Here's the LaLiga standings table after the first matchday

Real Madrid debuted in LaLiga with a victory thanks to a goal by Mbappé

Real Madrid defeated CA Osasuna in the first match of LaLiga (1-0) by the narrowest margin thanks to a goal from Kylian Mbappé. The French forward scored from the penalty spot after creating the play himself. Despite other chances from the white club, the score didn't change for the rest of the night.

CA Osasuna set up a rather defensive match and looked for counterattacks time and again. However, Real Madrid was alert to those plays and barely allowed any chances. Nevertheless, the white team also struggled to reach Sergio Herrera's goal for much of the match.

Kylian Mbappé keeps doing his thing

Once again, Kylian Mbappé showed that he's Real Madrid's biggest star. The Frenchman, increasingly inspired up front as the minutes went by, created the goal thanks to a good play down the wing that ended in a penalty.

When it was time to shoot, the Frenchman completely fooled Sergio Herrera to make it 1-0 and score his first goal wearing the "10".

Additionally, Xabi Alonso, already in the final minutes, decided to leave Kylian Mbappé on the field and take off Vinícius. Clear message from the coach, showing who his top star is at the moment.

There was also time for Franco Mastantuono's debut, who had some good minutes and even managed a shot on target. Thiago Pitarch didn't play, nor did Rodrygo Goes, who was left without minutes. Rumors about the Brazilian's departure keep growing.

This is Real Madrid's standing in the table

Once the first matchday concluded, Real Madrid is in eighth place in the table with 3 points. Barça is the leader, and although they have the same number of points, they have two more goals in their favor.
