Toni Kroos's Reaction to Real Madrid's Defeat, Message at the End of the Match

The Real Madrid legend posted a message on their social media following the defeat in the Cup final

The vibrant clash at La Cartuja in Seville concluded with Barça under Flick standing tall after 120 minutes of pure madness. Real Madrid fell for the third time this season against their eternal rival in a match where they were ahead. Kylian Mbappé and Tchouaméni scored the goals for the whites, but a goal by Koundé decided the final in the 116th minute.

Despite Barça's first half, it was evident that a team with the history and prestige of the whites wouldn't let a final go unnoticed. It was. Ancelotti shook up his team after the break, making three substitutions (Mbappé, Modric, and Güler) before the 56th minute.

Kylian Mbappé, who came on as a game-changer at the start of the second half, tied the final with a free-kick goal. Seven minutes later, the collective effort culminated with a goal by Tchouaméni from a set piece. In the blink of an eye, Real Madrid turned around a final that seemed lost.

Barça Struck in Extra Time

After the tie, bad news came for Real Madrid. The injury to Vinícius forced his substitution, and Barça took the opportunity to renew their strength with up to four changes. Ancelotti's team, exhausted after a brutal battle, could only pray to take the match to a penalty shootout.

But Barça delivered the final blow thanks to a clever move by Koundé in the 116th minute. The French defender got ahead of Brahim and, with a powerful right-footed shot, beat the Belgian wall. Real Madrid, who tried until the end, couldn't tie the match.

A Message of Encouragement from a Legend

After the final whistle, social media were filled with reactions about what happened in the match played at La Cartuja. One of them was from Toni Kroos, a Real Madrid legend. The German posted a very clear message on his Instagram profile.

"Hala Madrid! Always!!!", wrote the former Real Madrid player. His words have reached all Madridists, who hold fantastic memories of Toni Kroos. With him on the field, the match would have been a different story...
