Tuttosport Announces It: Florentino Has Almost Signed Kroos's Replacement
The star player whom Florentino Pérez is close to signing for the next transfer window has been revealed by Tuttosport
One of the most emotional yet painful farewells for Real Madrid was that of Toni Kroos. For a decade, Real Madrid's midfield was secured thanks to Kroos's presence. Helping the club at all times and being the reason for several of its successes, Florentino Pérez is close to signing his replacement.
As revealed by TuttoSport, Florentino Pérez is working on signing Tijjani Reijnders. Interested in the talent Reijnders has shown with AC Milan, his transfer was attempted to be finalized last year. Although it wasn't finalized, Florentino remains quite focused on finally succeeding for the next market.

However, TuttoSport has also revealed that Real Madrid is not the only club that has shown interest in signing Reijnders. Manchester City has emerged as the rival to beat for Real Madrid in the upcoming transfer market.
The Desired Replacement for Kroos
Being part of Milan since 2023, Reijnders didn't take long to show his talent. At 26 years old, the player from the Netherlands has established himself as a great star in Milan, being a starter in practically every match. Playing 3,748 minutes during this season, Reijnders's importance in Milan is evident.
For this reason, in light of interest from clubs like Real Madrid, Milan opted to extend Reijnders's contract until 2030. A move that, despite Milan's hopes, hasn't served to halt Real Madrid's plans.

Despite Manchester City's interest, which is willing to spend 60 million euros, Reijnders's future is not defined. The talented midfielder, who earns 3.2 million euros per season plus incentives, is facing the decision of his career.
The Star Florentino Seeks
While Manchester City has had a decent performance, the current campaign has brought the club back to its reality. This could benefit a Real Madrid that, despite the circumstances, continues to maintain a competitiveness that could be decisive for signing Reijnders.
