Vinicius's reaction with Xabi Alonso after he found out he would be a substitute against Oviedo
Vinicius found out he would be a substitute in Oviedo and this is how he reacted with the coach
Real Madrid keeps moving forward by winning matches despite limited physical preparation. Some improvements were seen against Oviedo, a comfortable victory was achieved, but there were also surprises. These were the ones Xabi Alonso introduced at the start with a rather unexpected starting eleven.
Rodrygo and Franco Mastantuono made it into the line-up and Vinicius stayed on the bench. The cameras focused on him to analyze his gestures and how he was being a substitute by technical decision. However, what stood out most was how he reacted when he found out he would be on the bench.

On El Chiringuito, they reported that when he found out, he was "initially surprised" because he didn't expect it. "He missed having a conversation with Xabi, he hasn't spoken with him. Not in the previous days, not on the same day, not days before, and he hasn't explained anything about this substitution," they continued saying.
They also added that the way it happened "didn't sit well with the Brazilian". It seems that, according to what was indicated on the show, the relationship is rather cold between the player and the coach. At least that was the feeling he had in the moments before stepping onto the field.
Vinicius proves himself with goal and assist
In the league debut against Osasuna, Vinicius wasn't at the desired level and was one of those singled out. Maybe that's why Xabi decided to leave him on the bench against Oviedo to give Rodrygo the opportunity. In the second half, he decided to put him on the field and he proved himself as many were demanding.

First by assisting Mbappé on the second goal at Carlos Tartiere (Estadio Carlos Tartiere) and then by scoring himself. A great performance in the second half, which is what many were asking from Vinicius. That step forward to show that he is still the high-quality player he is.
Xabi Alonso has already shown that he won't hesitate to bench any player. Vinicius has also made it clear that he wants to be the best player in the world again, as he was two seasons ago. Meanwhile, Madridists are rubbing their hands in anticipation of what's to come.
