Vitinha targets Real Madrid and Florentino already knows the number of millions to pay
The Merengue executives do not rule out signing the PSG footballer
The reconstruction of Santiago Bernabéu locker room, under the technical direction of Xabi Alonso, is proving morecomplicated than it seemed at first. That's why the Tolosa manager has approached the board of directors on several occasions to request the addition of several footballers whose profile isn't found in the first team.
It won't be during this summer transfer window, given that Real Madrid has considered its activity in that regard closed. That pause regarding signings doesn't mean that the top executives led by Florentino Pérez aren't closely following players like Vitinha, who fits Xabi Alonso's request.

The Madrid coach has requested at the Valdebebas offices the signing of a creative midfielder, preferably with a defensive profile. While it's true that the Portuguese midfielder doesn't have many defensive duties assigned, he is the reference organizing pivot used by Luis Enrique for PSG's main starting eleven.
His great 24/25 season is more than enough to establish him as a potential target for the Whites. He could even become one of the perfect complements for players like Fede Valverde or Jude Bellingham. Xabi Alonso himself would have accepted that interest in Vitinha, completely ruling out any approach toward Rodrigo Hernández.
Strategies in progress
However, the Madrid sporting management, just like the coaching staff itself, knows that signing Vitinha won't be easy at all. Not only because of the icy institutional relations that "link" Real Madrid and PSG. The disagreements from previous seasons, both on and off the field, have made the transfer of players between teams practically impossible.
The board of directors led by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has been very clear: Vitinha has a starting price of 130 million euros. That amount is the same that Real Madrid ended up paying for Jude Bellingham in the summer of 2023, so the operation is more than feasible for the Madrid coffers. Only not during the current summer transfer window, given the major investment made in four top-level players.

Aware of that price, Juni Calafat's scouts will keep monitoring Vitinha during the next season. Only similar performances during the 25/26 campaign could prove his excellent form... and Real Madrid's moves to make a hypothetical team change a reality.
That also buys time: Vitinha has a contract with PSG until the summer of 2029, a circumstance that makes it practically impossible to consider a free agent signing in the short term. That's why the Madrid executives will try to convince him that changing teams is the best move for his career, considering what to do with those 130 million demanded by PSG.
