The Club World Cup is getting closer to the desired grand final in New York City. With the quarterfinals about to begin, Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund.  This match generates high expectations due to their previous encounters and will kick off at 10:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time.

This match, which will take place this Saturday, July 5, will be played at MetLife Stadium.  This venue has already witnessed several thrilling matches throughout the tournament. Although Madrid has tried not to be overconfident, the club is the clear favorite to secure its spot in the semifinals.

After defeating Juventus with a goal by Gonzalo García, Real Madrid is the favorite to win the tournament.  Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, is looking to pull off an upset after beating Monterrey from Mexico 2-1.

A match that is already history

Both Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have faced each other a total of 16 times.  While the last match was in the group stage of the Champions League, the most memorable game is the 2024 final at Wembley. With Toni Kroos still on the team, Real Madrid managed to win 2-0 against the German side.

This Club World Cup match can be watched on DAZN, which has broadcast the entire tournament completely free of charge.  In a stadium with a capacity of 87,000 spectators (80,000), a large turnout is expected to watch one of the best matches of the tournament.
