Xabi Alonso already sings 'Hey Jude': Bellingham is back at Valdebebas

The Tolosa manager sees the return of the English midfielder as getting closer and closer

Real Madrid's tactical schemes this season, planned by Xabi Alonso's coaching staff, are producing good results. While it's true that it's still too early to draw any conclusions, Real Madrid has started the current soccer season with great competitive and winning drive

The ideas shown by the Tolosa-born coach and his staff, however, don't include all the players who are actually in Santiago Bernabéu locker room. There are several players who are recovering from their respective injuries, but without a doubt the most striking "case" in this regard is Jude Bellingham.

The British midfielder underwent surgery on his left shoulder after the Club World Cup, an ailment he had been dealing with since November 2023. That procedure required about three months of recovery (3 months), a return time he would have shortened considerably... always with the approval of Real Madrid's medical staff.

From the Valdebebas offices, they've issued a very clear order: don't take risks with Jude Bellingham. Not only because he's one of the first team's "franchise" footballers and an untouchable for Xabi Alonso. Also with the goal of protecting the footballer's health: a relapse of that shoulder is as unacceptable as it is inconceivable for the white squad.

Step by step

The Basque coach will see the Madrid "5" very soon at the Valdebebas Sports City. That's what the newspaper MARCA would have reported, which at the same time points out that the English footballer is eager to return both to training and to matches with the merengue team.

Everything indicates, according to this sports newspaper, that the Real Madrid footballer will return to training during this very week. Most of the players who weren't drafted will do the same after their four days of rest, to continue with the work plans established at the beginning of the season.

The progress of Jude Bellingham's injury has been much better than desired: some occasional training sessions with his teammates aren't ruled out. Bellingham's good feelings about his physical condition and the recovery of his left shoulder have been key in this early return to the first team's sporting routines.

After all, the three-month recovery period (3 months) placed his return date in the second or third week of October. Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham has moved that return to the Sports City up by about one month, it doesn't mean he's ready to play... but it is a step forward that excites both the coaching staff and Madridists.
