Real Madrid has started the season with several important absences for Xabi Alonso's plans. Especially Bellingham, who underwent shoulder surgery after the Club World Cup. It was a procedure he needed but postponed the previous summer because he reached the Euro Cup final with England.

Xabi Alonso knows that the first thing is for him to return physically recovered and is following a plan for that. He still has quite a few weeks left before he can be available and train completely normally. However, the Tolosa native is already thinking about the next step he will have to take to unlock his full potential.

His idea is to get the best version of Bellingham back so he can be important for the team. He wants him to be as decisive in goal-scoring actions as he was in 2023–2024. He will work on it to achieve this because he is essential in his schemes.

Bellingham arrived at Real Madrid as a midfielder, but he started breaking all the goal-scoring records. Scoring consecutively in his first matches, he secured many victories. To such an extent that year he was competing to be the top scorer in the First Division.

Although he didn't achieve it, the truth is that his stats have been spectacular, if not the best. In fact, he is the second midfielder with the most goals in La Liga since the 2021–2022 season. Only Sancet has surpassed him, having scored 35, compared to the Madridist's 28.
