Xabi Alonso is going to keep an eye on a 'Hidden gem' academy player from Madrid, he wanted him for Bayer

Xabi Alonso's arrival as the new coach of Real Madrid has brought several changes. While Real Madrid has already gotten to work on signings, Xabi has set his sights on the youth academy. Known for the opportunities he gives to young talent, a youth player managed to catch Xabi's interest due to his high level.

César Palacios is the youth player in question, being one of the stars Castilla has. Playing as a midfielder, Palacios has been on Xabi's radar for a long time.  During Xabi's time as Bayer Leverkusen's coach, the coach tried to secure Palacios's signing before the serious injury he suffered.

Considered one of the greatest talents in Real Madrid's youth academy, Palacios's future could change drastically. Given the need for more midfielders and his knowledge in this position, Palacios could end up being coached by Xabi Alonso.

Joining the youth soccer base in 2020, Palacios improved as a player until joining Castilla in 2023. The fact that Xabi tried to sign him for Bayer shows that Palacios has always been on the coach's radar. Having been one of the best midfielders of his generation, Xabi Alonso can easily spot the talent of young players like Palacios.
