Xabi Alonso will meet with 5 players on August 4, they could leave Real Madrid

The coach from Donostia will have a meeting with these players: They are on their way out

Real Madrid's preseason starts on August 4. That is the day when Xabi Alonso has called his team to the Ciudad Deportiva to begin preparing for the first stretch of the campaign. Only two weeks before facing their league debut against CA Osasuna.

According to Diario AS, the Donostian coach has a pending conversation with Rodrygo Goes, Ferland Mendy, David Alaba, Dani Ceballos, and Endrick. Each of them is going through a particular situation at the club, and the manager wants to meet with them individually. A few days ago, he had a meeting with the club's top executives and showed them a list of players who could be expendable.

After all, the transfer market is still ongoing and anything can happen until August 31, both in terms of arrivals and departures. In fact, for any new signings to happen, a footballer must leave first.

The squad won't remain as it is now.  In the upper management offices at Chamartín, they are listening to offers for each of those five footballers already mentioned. The sporting management agrees with Alonso and has also put them up for sale.

So, it remains to be seen what will ultimately happen. As Defensa Central has been able to confirm, the coaching staff isn't bothered at all by having these five players. However, they wouldn't mind if they left and brought money into the club's coffers.

Meanwhile, Florentino Pérez isn't willing to sell at a loss either. The president, more than anyone, is aware of the extreme inflation in the world of soccer and, as such, won't fall behind.

A possible major sale

Rodrygo's would be the biggest sale of Real Madrid's transfer window. This footballer, who isn't going through a good moment, could leave for about €100 million. This is, as of today, the club's demand, which may change as time goes by.
