They reveal Xabi Alonso's plans for this season: formation and top starting XI

Xabi Alonso would already have his starting eleven clear, and there will be those singled out

Real Madrid will face the Club World Cup with almost no prior training sessions with Xabi Alonso. The Tolosa native led his first session at Valdebebas this Monday, but with few players available. In fact, not all the internationals have returned yet after playing with their national teams.

Los Blancos will take on this tournament trying to win this first edition of the World Cup. However, Xabi knows his influence will start to show with the beginning of next season. That's when he'll have the squad assembled with all the signings and departures.

In addition to Alexander Arnold and Huijsen, Mastantuono, Carreras, and possibly others should arrive. Meanwhile, Modric and Lucas Vázquez will no longer be part of Real Madrid after their departure. With these changes, Xabi Alonso will have to compose the starting eleven for the Merengue side.

It was Manu Carreño who ventured to give a possible Real Madrid starting eleven for next season. Courtois; Arnold, Huijsen, Rüdiger, Carreras; Tchouaméni, Valverde, Bellingham, Mastantuono; Vinícius and Mbappé are his choices. He pointed out that the new signings would be starters from the beginning.

3 Singled Out in Real Madrid's Starting Eleven According to Manu Carreño

It's true that we'll have to wait for the start of the season to see Xabi Alonso's decisions. However, according to the line-up Manu Carreño has revealed, there are 3 "singled out" who'll lose their spot. Some are very notable and could be very important for the future.

The fact is that Rodrygo wouldn't be a starter to make room for Franco Mastantuono despite his age. He'll arrive at 18 years old (18 años) and would take the Brazilian's spot, but also Arda Güler's. The same goes for Huijsen, although in his case it's Militao who would be a substitute, depending on his recovery from injury.

It could also be Rüdiger and they could rotate among the three to avoid accumulating too many minutes. The last one to lose his spot would be Dani Carvajal, so Arnold would be the starter. However, he'd also get minutes in a season with so many matches that will allow Xabi Alonso to make changes in every game.
