Xabi Alonso's reaction to Real Madrid's K.O. with Ouazane, he won't sign for the club

The Moroccan footballer will not play for Real Madrid after failing the medical examination

The transfer market continues to bring us breaking news. In addition to the farewell of Lucas Vázquez, who will leave Real Madrid after achieving a successful career at the white club, Madridists received another very significant update.

Xabi Alonso, just like the rest of his staff and Arbeloa himself, found out that he won't be able to count on the signing of Abdellah Ouazane, who was coming from Ajax. The Moroccan midfielder, who was arriving to play for Castilla, didn't pass the medical examination, so the club has called off the signing operation. Now, Real Madrid also has the task of signing another footballer for its second team.

Abdellah Ouazane won't play for Real Madrid

At Real Madrid, they were quite excited about the arrival of one of Ajax's gems. In fact, Xabi Alonso had planned for him to join first-team training sessions during the first days of preseason. However, the Moroccan footballer's dream was cut short when doctors discovered some physical issues that haven't been revealed yet.

"During the procedures prior to the signing, everything seems to indicate that something related to the medical examination failed", Ramón de Mon reported last Thursday morning on his social media.

Meanwhile, the journalist himself made it clear that Real Madrid hasn't had anything to do with Abdellah Ouazane's problems. The club wanted to have the player for next season, but they've been forced to cancel the operation. In fact, journalists like Fabrizio Romano had already confirmed the footballer's signing for the Madrid side, so it wasn't just a simple rumor.

The news has been received with some sadness by both Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloa, who had already counted on the player. However, Real Madrid will keep working to strengthen Castilla's midfield with a player who is capable of joining the first team. Therefore, in addition to the main team's transfer market, attention will also need to be paid to updates from the reserve team.
