After Huijsen, Real Madrid wants to sign another center-back for both the present and the future.

Oscar Naasei, a center-back from Granada's youth academy, has caught the attention of the white club's sporting management for Castilla

Real Madrid doesn't stop in the market after the arrival of Dean Huijsen. The sporting management keeps looking for young talent with potential. The next on the list is Óscar Naasei, Granada's center-back who is only 20 years old.

Naasei has caught attention for his defensive solidity, good ball distribution, and maturity despite his age. In Valdebebas, they believe he has the potential to be important, first in Castilla and, in the future, in the first team.

Madrid has already made a move

According to Marca, the white club has already submitted a formal offer to Granada. The intention is to bring him in as soon as possible. They want to finalize the signing this summer and have him do preseason with the first team, but it's not going to be an easy operation.

In Granada, they're aware of the player they have in their hands. The Andalusian club's response has been immediate and they don't want to lose him. The plan is to offer him a spot in the first team squad for the 2025/26 season in a project focused on promotion to Primera División.

Pacheta, Granada's coach, has spoken with the player personally. He has made it clear that he counts on him and that he'll be an important part of the club's new project.

A center-back who grows quickly

Naasei has played six matches with the first team this season in Segunda División. He has totaled 315 min. (315 minutes). Most of them came in the first half of the season.

At the Nazarí club, they see him as a pillar for the future. He has a contract until 2028, and his growth from the youth academy has been steady. He stands out for his physique, anticipation, and good aerial play.

Real Madrid considers him an ideal profile. His age, his room for improvement, and his experience in professional soccer fit the model that has propelled names like Rafa Marín or Marvel.

Castilla or first team

For now, the most likely destination would be Arbeloa's Castilla. But it's not ruled out that Naasei could train with the first team or be included in rotations if there are absences as has happened this season.

In any case, Madrid's interest is firm and they want to finalize the deal soon to prevent other clubs from getting ahead.

The ball is in Granada's and Naasei's court. The young center-back's future will be decided in the coming weeks.
