Guti reveals the Madrid player who resembles him the most and surprises: 'Better than me'
The former midfielder believes that Arda Güler is the player in Real Madrid's current squad with the most similarities
Guti has made headlines again. Although it's no longer for his brilliance on the field, but for his words. In an interview with Marca, the former white footballer spoke about his new phase as a commentator on DAZN.
He'll be one of the analysts for the Club World Cup broadcasts in Real Madrid's matches. It's an experience he's approaching with enthusiasm, in which he'll analyze the team from a position where he's been doing so all season.

In addition to talking about his phase as a commentator, Guti didn't avoid important topics. He spoke about Xabi Alonso, the youth academy, Morata's future, Luis Enrique's role, and, of course, his desire to return to the benches and coach the first white team at some point.
But the answer that has attracted the most attention came when he was asked about his successor in the current Real Madrid.
"Güler is the most similar to me... but better"
Guti was clear and sincere. When asked which current Madrid player resembles him the most, he didn't hesitate: Arda Güler.
"I hope he does better than I did," he confessed. "He's the most similar: quality, talent, final pass, goal..." the former midfielder explained.

For Guti, the Turk has everything to succeed. He also acknowledged that it's not easy for him: "He's very young and has grown up in a tough club."
He added that in another team he would've had more minutes. "If he'd been somewhere else, he would've played more and taken bigger steps," he reflected.
Even so, he believes that training every day with the best also has its value. "Just training at Madrid also toughens you up," he concluded.
Guti, alert to the white future
During the conversation, Guti made it clear that he still closely follows the club. He applauded the work with the youth academy, although he laments the lack of opportunities, using Nico Paz and his early departure to Como as an example.
He also showed his trust that Xabi Alonso will fit well on the merengue bench. "He has the character and the idea of play," he pointed out.
