Alexander-Arnold, Alphonso Davies, and Florian Wirtz for 2025 without Losing a Euro

The plan of the white executives involves total victory in almost all competitions

The 2025 summer transfer market could present itself as a truly demanding instance for Real Madrid. The executives led by Florentino Pérez still have plenty of time to modify their roadmap. But most of the candidates are already fully settled.

Two of those pending transfers for next summer are Alphonso Davies and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Both would arrive as free agents, making the only expense from Madrid's treasury their transfer bonus and other concepts derived from signing a new contract.

However, these two wingers aren't the only players present on the club's list of potential transfers. The "dream" of acquiring Florian Wirtz's card, despite becoming complicated since his renewal, remains very present in the Valdebebas offices. Madrid's bosses might have a single opportunity to solve this expensive transfer.

The recent renewal of Bayer Leverkusen's '10' means that the transfer demanded from the noble area of the BayArena exceeds the money that Madrid's bosses wish to pay. Those 100 million euros are a key factor in the club's sporting and financial future.

Juggling act

Such an outlay would mean no more transfers during the rest of the 2025 summer market, a circumstance that would already have a solution. Because the white board has found in the Club World Cup the ideal opportunity to sign Florian Wirtz and preserve part of the transfer budget.

The victory in that FIFA-organized competition, which will take place between June and July 2025, would bring a total of 111 million euros to the winning team. Such an amount of money would be entirely allocated to Wirtz's transfer, practically ensuring his incorporation.

It's still too early to confirm this strategy. But it seems like the only plausible solution to one of the most expensive transfers of the moment. The arrival of Wirtz has lost some momentum recently not only because of his renewal; something that has considerably increased his price for the coming summers.

Also due to the change in priorities experienced within Real Madrid itself. The need to acquire a creative midfielder with a defensive profile, like Martín Zubimendi, has led to a modification of the list of potential transfers... in which Wirtz wouldn't be as high as he was four months ago.
