Alexander-Arnold Won't Arrive for Free: There's an Official Figure for Him to Play in the World Cup

Real Madrid values the possibility of signing the right-back for that FIFA competition

One of the major doubts about Trent Alexander-Arnold's sports future is his  immediate availability for Real Madrid. The presence of the Club World Cup, a tournament that will be held between June and July, has disrupted the timing of a signing as a free agent. Now that the '66' red has personally confirmed that he will leave Merseyside, the only thing left to know is when he will join Santiago Bernabéu locker room.

FIFA has made it clear that they will open a small transfer window between June 1 and 10, more than enough time for the participating clubs to strengthen. One of the signings that could arrive at Real Madrid during that time is Alexander-Arnold himself, but the white club would need to pay a small fee to make it possible.

Because the British right-back's contract with Liverpool ends on June 30, 2025. By then, Real Madrid will not be able to add players until after the Club World Cup... an impediment that would mean the loss of an excellent competitive option for this tournament that the merengue club considers important.

Given the dilemma in which Real Madrid finds itself, from the noble area of Anfield Road, they have opened the door to the early departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Instead of leaving as a free agent, the English team would let him be part of the merengue squad for the Club World Cup in exchange for two clear conditions.

They Have It on the Table

The first demand of the British bosses is the payment of a minimum transfer for Trent Alexander-Arnold. According to 'OKDiario' information, Santiago Bernabéu coffers should pay one million pounds sterling, approximately 1.2 million euros, to have the still '66' red. That is not the only expense Liverpool demands from Real Madrid.

The current club of the desired European defender also demands that Real Madrid take charge of the last month of Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract. The amount would again be one million euros. Thus, Real Madrid would acquire the card of a key player for the Club World Cup for just 2.2 million euros.

The wait of the white sports management, waiting until the end to achieve his incorporation as a free agent, has borne fruit. But the immediacy of the Club World Cup is a clear alteration of the initial roadmap that Liverpool has also considered given their demands.

In any case, it is entirely up to Real Madrid to assess the timing and make a decision about Trent Alexander-Arnold's future. The '66' red would be a top-level addition to a severely depleted defensive line this season, especially at such a low price... but the opportunity to sign him as a free agent remains a too tempting backdrop.
