Ancelotti Will Have His Central Defender, Trains This Monday with Real Madrid
The star central defender Real Madrid has acquired to the great delight of Carlo Ancelotti
It's well known that one of the positions Real Madrid is looking to strengthen is the defense. The injuries suffered since last season have severely affected the team's dynamics. Due to this, as an end-of-year gift, the club has managed to secure the return of a much-desired central defender for Carlo Ancelotti.
David Alaba, who was injured last year, has finally fully recovered. After many complications that prolonged his recovery, the Austrian can return to the field. His return to training with the rest of the team is expected on December 30th.
This is one of the best pieces of news the team, and especially Carlo Ancelotti, could receive. The Italian coach, after having to deal with the absences in the defense, will finally have the return of a necessary central defender.
The anticipated return
Since his arrival at Real Madrid in 2021, Alaba has established himself as a key part of the team. His performances were essential in winning several titles, notably the famous "Champions of Comebacks." However, his cruciate ligament injury has kept him from playing for a full year.
Having faced complications during his recovery, these have finally disappeared. The 32-year-old Austrian center-back, after a long wait, will be able to return to the field in 2025. With this, Ancelotti will have a quite solid defense, with Alaba joining Rüdiger, Asencio, and Tchouaméni.
With a contract until the summer of 2026, David Alaba's immediate future at Real Madrid is quite secure. Even so, after the level shown by the other center-backs, the Austrian will have to prove his worth once again.
A complete defense
Despite having to fight for an important spot within the team, Alaba's return solves many problems. Looking ahead to the second half of the season, Real Madrid has recovered players who will be key for the upcoming matches. Similarly, the number of games will allow Alaba to play several minutes.
