The World Cup qualifiers have begun and Arda Güler has already led Türkiye in its first match on the road to the 2026 World Cup.

The Real Madrid star, as expected, started for the Ottomans against Georgia and this ended up helping Vincenzo Montella's side win 3-2 at the Boris Paichadze Stadium in Tbilisi.

However, now Arda Güler and Türkiye are focused on Spain, the opponent they will host at the Konya Büyükşehir Arena.

The Turkish players, who will be the main rivals for Luis de la Fuente's side in this qualifying process, will be led by the young Madridist against the Spaniards.

This is something Arda Güler himself already spoke about in the mixed zone after defeating Georgia.

"It will be a difficult match in theory, but it won't be easy for Spain either. They still don't know the unbelievable atmosphere in Konya. We want to keep bringing joy to our fans. Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu made it clear that "now it's Konya's turn. We have historic victories there. They never left us alone. Our fans will give their best, and so will we."
